POETRY ON TRACK
The Knox County (Ohio) Art League, headquartered at a 100+ year old renovated B&O Depot, announced a "Train Theme Show" during the Month of February, 2009. Artists were invited to display their work, regardless of "medium." I am one of several KCAL members who is an author and/or poet. My suggestion that poets and writers should also have an opportunity to present their work was enthusiastically accepted.
As a result of that recognition that poetry is an form of artistic expression, I sat down to write a number of light narrative poems, including a ballad, an ode and a verse written in the meter and rhyming pattern of the limerick.
My short collection of 13 train poems, brought together in chapbook format, is titled POETRY ON TRACK.
